I’ve recently come back to starting my day with a 5-minute audio meditation from renowned Buddhist mindfulness teacher Thich Nhat Hanh. Beliefnet first published  the meditation, called “The End of Suffering,” years ago, but it remains one of my personal favorites on the site.

It’s a wonderful morning meditation because the words, the music, and the meditation bell that guides us through are very centering, calming yet focusing as you set your morning intention.  As Thich Nhat Hanh puts it, “Following the sound of the bell, my breath brings me back to the safe island of mindfulness.”
