My day just got a little brighter when I learned that Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, the inspired pair that brought us the music and movie Once, have a new album coming out October 27.

How’s this for a powerful title?  The album is going to be called “Strict Joy.”  Sigh.  Yes, please.

Glen and Marketa did a session as part of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series.  Sit back and dive into the video below, which features them huddled close around a guitar and each other’s voices.  Be sure to listen until the end, when an encore (a first for a Tiny Desk Concert, apparently) version of “When Your Mind’s Made Up” will blow your socks off.
