When you wake up, do you remember your dreams? I find it incredibly helpful to jot the details down before I do anything else–especially if the dream is disturbing or unpleasant. If I have a bad dream and don’t write it down, I find that it abstractly haunts me, sticking with me like a sticky cloud and vague negativity throughout the day. Then later when I come back home I can take a look at what I actually dreamed and start to try and understand what it might be communicating to me. So it’s a flush and a helpful way to connect to my unconscious.
