There’s something about the end of summer that makes me think wistfully about sunshine.  True, autumn sunshine is gorgeous–and maybe my favorite kind–but after that comes (sorry) winter and its dearth of Vitamin D.  So in celebration of the summer sun as we wind down the season, here are some quotes about sunshine:

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth” –The Buddha

Are you upset little friend? Have you been lying awake worrying?  Well, don’t worry…I’m here. The flood waters will recede, the famine will end, the sun will shine tomorrow, and I will always be here to take care of you” –Charlie Brown to Snoopy

“See how nature–trees, flowers, grass–grows in silence; see the stars, the moon, and teh sun, how they move in silence…we need silence to be able to touch souls.”  –Mother Teresa

“People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” –Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
