Many of you shared your delectable oatmeal mix-in combinations in my 6 Health Reasons to Eat Oatmeal post.  I thought I’d share the love by posting some of your yummiest ways to warm up a cold morning.  Enjoy!

“I add 2 tablespoons of raisins to the water when I cook my oatmeal. Then sprinkle with cinnamon and serve with skim milk.” –Mary

“I have a small, inexpensive rice cooker that does a wonderful job on
oatmeal. I replace about a third of the water with skim milk, and add a
few raisins, (the tiny snack boxes work great), and a few dried
cranberries, flip the switch and let it go.  Occasionally, I’ll add a few chocolate chips after it’s cooked.” –Anonymous

“I add natural applesauce, lots of cinnamon, and a handful of walnuts!” –Katherine

“I usually add dark chocolate 70% cocoa to my oatmeal every morning. I get the benefit of antioxidants in dark chocolate as well.” –Helen
