Maureen Pratt Author PicSo, spring is coming (yes, truly it is!) and we’re beginning to see what’s going to be in fashion during the warmer months. But, if you live with a serious illness or other major responsibility, you might cringe a bit as the spring season advertisements roll out on the Web, television, and in print. You know you can’t afford a wardrobe remake each new season, and perhaps not even a few new pieces of clothing. Moreover, what you do own and wear seems recycled and stale – not at all like the vibrant styles and colors on the market now.

Know what? It doesn’t matter – because fashion is not what you think: It’s not who you are, it’s only what you wear.

The constant and most fashionable part of any season isn’t what’s superficial, it’s what’s profoundly precious, beautiful, and never-stale.

It’s you!

Today, look through your closet of clothes and know that each piece, no matter how old or long-worn, is not the essence of you, but rather something that helps you face the world and bring the true style – your personality and character and spirit – with you.  Yes, today, know that you are not only the fashion of the day, but the fashion of your life. Wear your spirit, show your soul, with joy. You are never obsolete!
