The Christian Music Hall of Fame will honor its 2008 inductees at a ceremony this Saturday, June 14, at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. The show begins at 7:00 p.m. CT. Tickets are $30 for general admission and group discounts are available. There will be a “fan fair” beginning at noon, where fans can meet the artists and get autographs. There is no charge for the pre-event festivities.
This year’s inductees are Michael W. Smith, Dottie Rambo, John Schlitt (lead singer of Petra), Stryper (pictured above), David Meece, Ed Enoch, Lou Wills Hildreth and The Staple Singers.
A special award will be presented in honor of Larry Norman, the Christian music pioneer who passed away this past February. A special tribute is also planned to honor Southern Gospel legend Dottie Rambo, who passed away in May while en route to a Mother’s Day show in Texas.
Artists appearing during the show include The Gospel Harmony Boys, The Imperials, Lulu Roman, Russ Taft and The Chuck Wagon Gang.
The Christian Music Hall of Fame and Museum is a non-denominational, non-profit, donor-driven charity that provides a place where people can go to see a history of artists who celebrate Jesus Christ through their music. For more information, visit www.hallmuseum.com.
