The LA Times reports today that Greg Laurie will indeed preach at the upcoming Harvest Crusade scheduled for Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, Aug 15-17.
Appearing at the festival will be Christian music artists Kutless, P.O.D., Leeland, The Katinas, Lincoln Brewster, and Randy Travis.
Christopher Laurie, who was killed in a car accident on July 24, was the church’s art director, and was responsible for designing the Harvest Crusade bumper stickers, posters, invitations and fliers as well as the Harvest website.
“I think it will be particularly poignant that Greg will be able to stand up and realize that those people were in those seats because they were given an invitation that Chris had designed,” pastor John Collins, the Harvest Crusade’s executive director, told the LA Times. “And some people will attend, he said, because they got the message that ‘life is brief and can be taken from us at any moment.'”
The stadium, which can hold 46,000, is expected to be filled to capacity each day of the three-day event, which is free.
