TheAfterspromopic.JPGIf you hear some familiar music on the shows “Army Wives,” “Rachel Ray” and “The Dr. Phil Show,” it might be from rockers The Afters. Music from their sophomore project Never Going Back to OK is being used the hit TV shows.
“Ocean Wide” will be heard on Army Wives this Sunday, August 3; “Tonight” was used in May on Rachel Ray’s daytime talk show, and “One Moment Away” will be used to promote the new season of Dr. Phil’s show.

The Afters exploded on the music scene – both Christian and mainstream – with their 2005 debut project I Wish We All Could Win, which garned them appearances on MTV, mtvU, ABC Family, E! News, and in Billboard, BOP and Popstar magazines. The music video for the single “Beautiful Love” was awarded with an mtvU Award for Best Streaming Video in 2005 and the band won the 2006 Dove Award for New Artist of the Year.
“We Are The Sound,” from their latest album, was used in promos for this past season of “American Idol.” The viral video for “MySpace Girl” was featured on E! News, Seventeen.com and TV Guide Channel’s website.
The Texas-based band recently finished a mainstream radio promo tour, with a final stop in Los Angeles speaking with Premiere Radio Networks and the TV Guide Channel.
