They make girls swoon and audiences rock, and now the guys in Hawk Nelson want to encourage their fans to step out of their comfort zones to be the one little miracle that can change the world. The moniker for the newly launched program is based of the band’s newest single “One Little Miracle,” which is currently charting at No. 6 on CHR formats. As the song states:

One little revolution could turn it all around.Back to the Kingdom we once knewJust a little bit of me, just a little bit of youOne little miracle to get us through

Rather than focusing on one area of need, Hawk Nelson has chosen three avenues to be the “one little miracle” across the nation. The band has had an ongoing involvement in the Hands and Feet Oprhanage in Haiti, which suffered significant damage in this summer’s hurricanes. (Read this post to read more the hurricane damage and see video of the actual water flooding through the campus.) The guys visited the orphanage last summer and recently purchased a van from proceeds raised during their spring tour.Hawk has also teamed up with Tom’s Shoes (the latest cause that many artists have chosen to align themselves with) to help provide shoes for children in poverty-stricken countries. In 2006, the organization’s debut year, they provided 70,000 pair of shoes to children in Argentina and South Africa. And lastly, the guys will be visiting Ronald McDonald Houses on some Revolve tour dates, bringing goodie bags with t-shirts and CDs and encouraging teen girls to attend the event, which is aimed to helping teen girls understand their identity in Christ. Revolve will provide event passes and transportation. To help support the Revolve Tour and the Hawk Nelson “One Little Miracle” campaign, Air1 Radio is partnering with the band to giveaway 75 signed records along with tickets to the Revolve event. The grand prize winner will fly to Orlando (Feb. 6-7,2009) for the Revolve event and go with Hawk Nelson to visit the Ronald McDonald house there. In addition, Hawk Nelson and Air1’s Scott Smith will do weekly vodcasts as well as live broadcast with Hawk every Friday night on air from the Revolve tour dates. The “One Little Miracle” EP is available now on iTunes, and features a special recording with Amy Grant recorded live at Creation Fest.
