My friend Dave Weiss, ever on the lookout for new and unusual forms of artistic expression, shared the above video with me yesterday. It’s a performance art piece of sorts from the worship band at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas and is part of a DVD filmed live to accompany the church’s new album of original songs, Closer To The Start. As you know, I’m not a super fan of the megachurch experience, but I am totally intrigued by this form of artistic expression. Not to mention that the vocalist is so good, despite the fact that these two women are painting him the entire time. Dave says when he saw this performed, the vocalist was playing guitar and they just painted the guitar, too.Anyway, what do you think? Performance art? Approriate in church? Or just another church show?RELATED POSTGuest blogger Pastor Dave Weiss answers the question “What is Christian Music”
