DoveAwards2009.JPGThe 40th annual Dove Awards air live tonight on the Gospel Music Channel.
The awards recognize the best in Christian and gospel music. Topping the list of nominees this year is current three-time Male Vocalist of the Year Chris Tomlin, with seven total nominations including Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone).” Veteran artist Natalie Grant and newcomer Francesca Battistelli each received five nominations, as did Casting Crowns.
This show promises to be top notch; it’s the first time in a very long time that the show is being broadcast live. And today it was announced that California Miss USA contestant Carrie Prejean will appear on the show. She joins a host of other presenters and performers, including”
