pureNRGTheRealThing.jpgPureNRG, the teen pop/dance trio, are readying to release their fourth studio album, The Real Thing, in June.
The press release reports “the new project showcases upbeat dance numbers and ballads that spotlight the strong vocals of pureNRG, while also displaying a new maturity for the three members.” (Jordan is now 16, Caroline, 14 and Carolyne, 13).
Is is possible that those tween cuties I met at a luncheon a couple of years ago during Gospel Music Week have grown up that much? I remember the girls coloring pictures for the other bands and Jordan sitting wide-eyed while the guys in Stellar Kart had a food fight.

Chances are, if you have junior highers in your house, the love pureNRG. And if they’ve never heard of them, then it’s time to check out this teen dance group. They’re high on energy and talent, and also very strong in their faith.
PureNRG just returned from their first international tour in Norway and did four performances for the Soul Children’s Festival, which is an educational event that drew 1500 school age children from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Ireland. The students were taught new music under several different conductors. PureNRG provided entertainment for the festival, with three performances at the Konserthuset, which is similar to a performing arts center, and one at Jernbanetorget, which is an outdoor mall. While in the country, pureNRG also got to do some sightseeing, touring the Royal Palace and taking a beautiful boat ride in the city of Oslo.
The group has a busy schedule ahead of them that includes the Creation West Festival in July, a second appearance in August at the American Airlines Center in Dallas at a Ringling Brother’s Circus event and a missions trip to Mexico in October.
