Ilia.jpgAll girl rock band Ilia is looking for a new female lead/rhythm guitar player.
Lindsey Pierce (now Lindsey Armstrong), guitar player and co-founder of the band, left the band in April to purse another ministry with her new husband, Jay. The band is proud and very supportive of her decision, but they need to fill her position in the band.
The all-girl indie rock band has released three radio singles, played over 400 dates in the last three years, toured with Spoken, Manic Drive, Wavorly, Seventh Day Slumber, Flatfoot 56, Children 18:3 and many others, and played all the major Christian festivals including Cornerstone, Ichthus Festival, Lifest, Soulfest and Kingdom Bound. They were voted HM Magazine’s Unsigned Band of the Year two years in a row.
Interested? The requirements are:

1. Must be a strong Christian.
2. Between the ages of 18 and 24
3. Be willing to relocate to Pine Bluff, Arkansas
4. Be able to tour for at least 6 months out of the year.
Auditions will be held in late July or early August.
If you’re interested, please email a myspace or facebook link with your resume and experience, along with an audition video or mp3 if you have one (but not necessary), to their manager:

From their concert listing on MySpace, it looks like the band has had to cancel gigs at Cornerstone, Ichthus, and Lifefest; those are coveted bookings in Christian music. For the right guitar player, this could be a great opportunity.
