Pop rock tween band Mission Six is readying for the release of their sophomore album, Not Too Young, on October 27.This is one of those bands that captures your heart because they’re 1) talented, 2) adorable, 3) fun and 4) spiritually grounded.Think Relient K pre-puberty. Think Hanson. Think cute kids and pop songs that will stick in your brain for days. The band takes their mission to reach out to their peers very seriously. They interact with fans through their website, taking prayer requests and leading fans in devotions, and regularly correspond via their journal and guestbook. Another fan-favorite found on the band’s website is “band vs. food”, where the guys post youtube videos of themselves eating such things as crickets and even brain: OK, so maybe that’s a little weird. Don’t try that at home. But it’s that quirky, sqeaky clean, fun attitude that’s made them a hit on the iShine tour and with Radio Disney. You can see more videos from the band on their YouTube page, and check them out on the official Mission Six website.RELATED POST:Pick of the Week – tween sensation Mission Six’s “Superhero”Click here to subscribe to Gospel Soundcheck by email and have the Gospel Soundcheck headlines delivered daily to your email inbox.
