The nominations were announced recently for the 2010 Southern Gospel Music (SGM) Fan Awards.
The Perrys lead the way with six nominations, including Favorite Mixed Quartet, Favorite Song (If You Knew Him), and Favorite Album (“Almost Morning”). Libbi Perry Stuffle garnered nominations for both Favorite Female Vocalist and Favorite Alto, while Tracy Stuffle tops the Favorite Bass category.
The Singing Echoes, The Hoppers and The Booth Brothers tied with five nominations each, followed by Gold City, The Nelons and The Talley Trio, who tied with top nominations in four categories.
Brothers Redeemed and Sunday Edition top the list for New Excelling Artist while Paul Heil and Chris Freeman are highly favored for the Living Legend Award.
Other top nominees include Guy Penrod (Favorite Soloist), Janet Paschal (Favorite Female Vocalist) and Triumphant (Favorite Male Quartet).
Winners will be chosen by fan voting.
The 2010 SGM Fan Awards will be handed out at the 6th annual SGM FanFair, which will be held May 3rd – 8th, 2010, at the Smoky Mountain Convention Center in Pigeon Forge, TN .
