I am fortunate to surround myself with inspiring people and information for my highest growth. The following information continues to inspire and empower me. I first came across this in a personal growth seminar with Tony Robbins back in 1984.
CONSTANT AND NEVER-ENDING IMPROVEMENT
1) Success is through a consistent increase in the quality of your life.
Pat Riley talks about having an “excellent game” and “game excellence,” which is consistent. It is the difference between once and a while achieving excellence in a particular game, versus being excellent each and every game like a Michael Jordan.
Are you constantly increasing the quality of your life and business? This requires small incremental changes and improvements on a daily basis, which accumulate to create momentum in your life.
2) Balance Are you balancing your growth in all areas with the constant distractions and challenges of life?
Are you growing mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially in your personal and professional relationships? You are either growing or dying. You are either going forward or standing still or going backwards. There is no in between. What is most important to you? Is it increasing the quality of life in every area? You must discover what area is out of balance in your life and take the appropriate action to create change and improvement. You must acknowledge the truth.
3) Decisions control all of our actions. Decisions are the Father of Action.
Decision = Standards & Beliefs
Our values and core beliefs determine all of our decisions.
If you want to improve any aspect of your life, you must be totally committed and take consistent action. You must increase your personal standards and beliefs to improve the quality of your life.
CANI stands for Constant and Never-Ending Improvement.
Choose to commit to Constant and Never-ending Improvement. Your life becomes better by gradual improvement in each area of your life. Expand what you are and how you live. Growth comes from improvement, which improves quality of life. What would happen if every day you would improve one thing in each area of your life and business in a small way?
Little things don’t mean a lot, they mean everything!
The more you improve, the better you feel and the more you can help people!
4) Profound Knowledge is a term conceived by Dr. Edwards Deming, who is recognized in Japan as the Father of the Japanese Economic Miracle after World War II.
Profound Knowledge is information, strategies or distinctions that are simple and universally applicable. The minute you understand them you can use them to improve the quality of your life. These are similar to accelerated learning techniques.
People’s Rules and Beliefs Determine the Quality of their Lives.
5) How You Can Change Your Life Long Term.
Change
a) Standards & Belief Systems
b) Beliefs
c) Strategies for conducting your life.
When you commit to CANI, you will consistently grow and expand in all areas of your life, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and financially. You will feel and enjoy a deep sense of well being, happiness, joy and satisfaction. Because such growth only comes from a commitment to Constant and Never-ending Improvement.
Long Term Change requires practicing a new pattern for at least 21 days. Then this new pattern becomes a habit. The little things that you do each day in all areas of your life may start out as small and consistent improvements, and then they create massive change.
The Quality of My Life Is Directly Related to the Quality of My Communication,
with Myself first and with Others.
