The people you spend the most time with greatly impact your life.
They shape your beliefs, values and color your world.
It is important to have good role models who are examples of proper principles.

Who do you learn from?
Who do you spend your time with?
Do they inspire and uplift you?
Are they good examples of kindness, communication, health & wealth?

I was blessed to have a wonderful Grandma & Grandpa.
They were always there as I was growing up.
They never missed a birthday or a holiday or special occasion.
Their love was the gift that kept on giving.

My Grandpa Bob lived until I was in my twenties and taught me very important lessons.  I still remember when I was a young child, he would sit me on his lap and share how important it is to be honest and have integrity.  He said that money, positions and titles come and go, but when you lose your name, your reputation and integrity it is almost impossible to get it back.  Then he always told me, ‘I love you and want the best for you.”

I have remembered his words and this lesson all of my life.  There were a few times that I did not heed his good advice and I made my life difficult, but I did whatever I had to do to correct my mistakes and earn people’s trust back.  It was very hard to do and I am thankful that I learned this lesson.  Grandpa was a very good, decent, honorable and impeccable man.

Grandma Yvette, was also very special.  She lived to 101 and 10 months and passed away a few years ago.  I was blessed to have her in my life for my first 50 years, a very rare blessings!  I never heard Grandma raise her voice in anger or upset for my entire life.  She always looked to help others.  She was kind, caring, sensitive and giving.  She was always looking to do good.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was an amazing person.  The world is a better place because she lived.  Grandma is one of my greatest teachers and mentors.

Grandma had an expression that no matter how bad life was she would say, “Darling, it’s for the best.  You’ll see it is for the best!”  As time went on I realized that she is correct.  Every delay turns out for my good.  Every situation, no matter how painful it is contains a gift within it.  Every cloud has a silver lining.

Take the opportunity to acknowledge, recognize and appreciate your role models.
Let them know how you feel about them because they make this world, your world a better place.

smiles,
🙂 Lee
