People around the world are watching with compassion and care the path of Hurricane Sandy on the east coast.  Much of my family lives in the NYC area and I grew up there.  Millions of people are without power and dealing with various challenging situations.

Life has a way of showing you who’s in charge.
There are times when you have to wait out the storm before taking action.
Mother Nature is a powerful force.
These are the times and circumstances that test your faith and beliefs.

Hurricane Sandy is creating flooding and damage that most of us have not seen or experienced in our lifetimes.  Over the next few days, the water will recede and the situation will be able to be assessed.       In the meantime, you can only do what you can and that requires patience, compassion and encouragement.  Do your best to stay calm and centered and help those around you in whatever way you can, including your self.

It is when a situation is at its worst that you can be at your best.
This is the amazing capacity of human beings.
We rise above circumstances, problems and challenges to help others and find solutions.
This disaster will create many opportunities for you to make a difference.

The greatest resource we have is each other and our capacity to help one another.
This natural disaster is in control in many ways, but you still have the choice on how you respond.
Do what you can with what you have where you are.
A kind look, a gesture or a helping hand makes all the difference in the world.

Life happens, but it is what you do that determines the true outcome.

God bless us all and keep us safe and healthy.

hugs,
🙂 Lee
