Tantra-for-beginners-1It is deep in the recesses of our disconnected selves, that we seek to reunify with something greater than ourselves. This force connects particles into patterns of consciousness that reach all the way into the cosmos.
The sexual force pervades our consciousness whether we are open to it or not, whether we suppress it actively or surrender ourselves completely to its powers.

“The sexual force is an expression of consciousness reaching for fusion. And fusion, which you can also call integration, unification, or oneness is the purpose of Creation.” ~ Eva Pierrakos & Judith Saly, Creating Union

In our soul, it is all so simple. We were created by sex – it is the ultimate creating power. The shame and guilt we feel, and appalling pornographic industry and sexual enslavement of people (including child slavery) exists on the periphery of our awareness. We try to escape from it. Deep down we know that that is where there is great power – that’s why there is so much concomitant fear, darkness and suppression. Within sex lies the power of creation itself and therefore the light follows the darkness, and the darkness follows the light.

In life, our conditioning shifts our awareness into that which is not natural to us. We just believe the illusion, because it’s what the people around us tell us it is supposed to be. The reality is quite different.

Edgar Cayce described our bodies as being one with God in a physical and spiritual sense – “When the earth was brought into existence or into time and space, all the elements that are without man may be found in the living human body.”

It is far within the deepest reaches of our subconscious world that we seek to unify with the Divine masculine and feminine archetypes (the Hindu tradition call these God/ Goddess archetypes as Shiva and Shakti). This powerful force seeks to connect us with our innate spirituality.

Sex is intrinsically a creative act and a deeply connective act. It embodies the very essence of life force. And hence its mystique and continual fascination. It’s been said that every generation discovers sex and recreates it. At least they think they do!

Each soulmate is another part of ourselves. This allows one to experience another on a deeper more personal level. It is this spiritual insight that allows one to see one’s connection to another, to see another in oneself.

The sexual union is one way to unlock the code of creation through the portal that opens up via the 3rd eye (pituitary gland). With shared intent and openness, alchemy becomes possible.

Intercourse connects the lower chakras to the higher chakras, the physical to the spiritual. Sacred sex activates this portal into the Divine realm of cosmic unity. The ebb and flow of universal forces reveals a potent force. This energy moves like waves that reveal great light. Ultimately, a soulmate is a reflection, another element of who we are. We are part of a larger picture, an aspect of a greater Soul. Connecting to another, is really connecting to ourselves.

When one sees the world through the eyes of wonder and sacredness, then all things are perfectly valid. When one allows oneself to feel gratitude for every part of our body, and appreciate the beauty and special quality of our most sacred and intimate parts, then there is no more room for shame or guilt.

We must be warriors of love, warriors of forgiveness, warriors of light to survive and retain our sanity in this illusory world.

Khalil Gibran said “Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.”

We have all been scarred particularly when it comes to sex. It is now time to let go of the ugly portrayals, fear and shame, and liberate the world of the repellent side to that which is natural. The sexual force is untainted in its original form. It is time to heal the collective wounding we all feel, and return to the purity of sex as love in motion.

Let us return to love. Where there is no place for cruelty and enslavement, no place for harming others, this is our natural inclination, this is our true self. Our souls are pure.

The great spiritual author, Marianne Williamson has a beautiful teaching:

“Love is what we are born with.
Fear is what we learn.
The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and the acceptance of love back in our hearts.”

We are born of innocence. Let us return back home to the loving heart of creation.

“No coming, no going,
No after, no before,
I hold you close to me,
I release you to be so free,
Because I am in you,
And you are in me.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Let us return to love. Where there is no place for cruelty and enslavement, no place for harming others, this is our natural inclination, this is our true self. Our souls are pure.
