Swimming through water is more revealing than the mere sensation of being in the water. The body becomes lighter – one has a sense of weightlessness. The idea of who we are is changed by being inside water. The limited heavy person becomes lighter, can float with the water, perhaps move with the tide. That’s why I love being in water as it always reminds me I am beyond the limited perception I had of myself – and it is only my fears that block me from experiencing more of life.

Without being water – we are limited by our fears. Beyond fear, we are limitless.

Our nature is to limit. To tell stories. To make-believe the world as we “know it.”

Stories. Endless stories. We tell ourselves. We make them real. We wish them to be real. We are comfortable in our thought-forms – in our labelling – in our limited ideas.

Water is literally swimming through the human body – used in all of its tissues and organs and each cell. Water regulates body temperature. It encompasses over 60% water. So on some level we are water (at least 60% of us) and we relate to its function is essential to life on this planet. Without water, a person can barely survive a few days at best. Subconsciously, we are linked to water – it powers our thoughts, our feelings (molecules of emotion), our perceptions.

Yet what are the qualities of water?

It takes on any shape. It is completely malleable, immediately changing its nature to accomodate another body. In its fluid form, it moves through space, rapidly in a waterfall or wave or spring. This wondrous water is at least part of who we are.

We are partly this water nature – changeable, adaptable, fluid, moving, shifting, limitless.
Limitless water is a part of who we are. Move like water. Be like water.

It was Bruce Lee who famously taught – “be like water.”

Move beyond fears – be limitless like water.
