I often know what I am going to write my column about on a particular day, but then something shifts and changes my mind.

I drive down the road with the radio blaring. The words from the song catch me. I have never heard it before, but it does what truly great songs and writing do…makes me feel as if it were written just for me. As if it were singing my song and dictating my words.
