I’m really not in the business of rumor mongering, but it’s being reported by many media outlets that Patrick Swayze, the beloved hunk from such classic films as “Dirty Dancing,” “Ghost,” and “Roadhouse” may be dying of late-stage pancreatic cancer that has spread throughout his body. He’s reportedly been given 5 weeks to live. Neither Swayze, an avid defender of religion, nor his publicist, have confirmed or denied the reports.
If this is all true, it’s a sad, sad day. As one heartbroken Beliefnet staff member said, the actor “made me fall in love with ballroom dance and romance and dancing in the water.”
