I have no idea how I missed this tidbit of insight from a Hollywood celebrity. Spike Lee went on MSNBC a few days ago and made the declaration that God caused all of the economic woes we are experiencing just so Barack could be president. I realize posting this on Inauguration Day just seems downright unpatriotic, yet when ” liberal elite media” is becoming more and more of a big catchphrase– sort of like “holla at your boy”: or “Can you hear me now?”, I just can’t help but wonder how much media play the same words and ideas–not linked to Obama’s name, of course–would have received if conservative celebs like Elisabeth Hasselbeck, conservative actress Janine Turner, or -gasp!–Ann Coulter had said themWatch a portion of the interview here:
