The film “Decoding Annie Parker” is based on the true story of breast cancer survivor Annie Parker and geneticist Mary Claire King who discovered the link between DNA and cancer. Annie is haunted by all the women in her family who died of breast cancer, hoping to bring change. Both women were drawn together by determination and the hope of finding a break through over the span of 16 years. King struggled and fought colleagues and the medical community to attain funding in her ground breaking study.

Oscar-winning actress Helen Hunt plays King and is joined with Samantha Morton as Annie, and “Breaking Bad” actor Aaron Paul.
