Anne B. Davis died on June 1, 2014, at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Earlier in the day, she sustained a subdural hematoma from a fall in her bathroom in the San Antonio residence. Davis was best known for her role on the family sitcom The Brady Bunch, as housekeeper Alice Nelson.

Here are a few things you may not have known about this wonderful actress:

•When enrolling at the University of Michigan, Davis originally was a pre-med major.

•Davis was famous prior to her role as Alice. Davis’s first television success was as Charmaine “Schultzy” Schultz in The Bob Cummings Show. She won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series twice out of four nominations for this role. Later on February 9, 1960, Davis received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

•Davis has appeared and acted as spokeperson for brands like Ford Motors, Shake N Bake and Swiffer

•Davis never married and was never romantically connected to anyone.

•Davis has an identical twin named Harriet.
