Hall of Famer and 15-time All Star Tony Gwynn, who passed away on June 16th, was more than just a remarkable hitter; he embodied the qualities of sportsmanship, humility, and excitement that make baseball such a great American sport. Gwynn played 20 seasons (1982-2001) for the San Diego Padres and never hit below .309 in any full season.
