Guess what Friends fans? The crew is reuniting twelve years after going off the air. NBC announced at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Pasadena on Wednesday the cast of Friends will reunite on NBC for a two-hour special.

The special will be a tribute to the Friends’ director James Burrows who has directed Taxi, The Bob Newhart Show, and Cheers. Burrows directed 15 episodes of Friends, including the pilot episode, and recently shot his 1,000th episode of television.

There is a lot of speculation circulating the breaking news of the reunion. Some reports cannot confirm whether or not all six cast members will be physically together during the taping. In a statement NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said, “I’m hoping all six will be in the same room at the samt time; I”m not sure we can logistically pull it off.”

The special will air on NBC Sunday, February 21st.
