Christian actor Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger welcomed their daughter Lyla Maria on Monday. Pratt referenced two Bible passages when making his sweet announcement.

In the Instagram post celebrating their daughter’s birth, Pratt said, “We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. We couldn’t be happier, and we feel extremely blessed.”

Pratt shared Psalm 126:3, which says, “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.” He followed up with Psalm 127:3-4, which says, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.”

Several celebrities, pastors, and Christian recording artists congratulated Pratt, and Schwarzenegger congratulated the couple on the announcement.

Christian recording artist Lauren Daigle wrote, “So happy for you both!”

Pratt’s  Guardian of the Galaxy co-star Zoe Saldana said, “Welcome to the world, Lady Lyla! May your path be blessed with grace and joy always! We are so happy for you guys! Sending you so much love.”
