The 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony was held in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena this past Sunday, and unlike the Oscars’ it went without controversy. Nominees were recognized for their musical contributions with eligibility running from September 2020 to September 2021. The ceremony was originally set to air on January 31st but was delayed over the Omnicron variant. The event was hosted by comedian and host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah.

The award show also paid tribute to Foo Fighter drummer Taylor Hawkins and other late musicians who passed in the last year. The Foo Fighters were set to perform at the Grammy’s but canceled after Hawkin’s tragic passing last week, the band took home three Grammys. The tribute also included icons Virgil Abloh, Young Dolph, DMX, Sarah Dash, Biz Markie, Betty Davis, Vincente Fernandez and Stephen Sondheim.
