Edie Murphy played one of the most important roles of his life over the weekend – father of the bride at daughter Bria Murphy’s wedding to Michael Xavier.

Bria, Eddie’s 32-year-old daughter, who he shares with ex-wife Nicole Murphy, wed Xavier, 36, in a private, intimate ceremony with close friends and family.

Her father, Eddie Murphy, did not only proudly walk Bria down the aisle but danced to “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder as their father and daughter song. Captivating photos of the adorable father and daughter encounter have gone viral since last weekend, as has a video of their father-daughter dance.

The dance started slowly, but trust Eddie to give you a good show any day, and he nailed that dance in fine form.

Speaking at Bria’s L.A. art show in February 2020, when she launched her Art 4 All exhibition, Eddie described his daughter as a “good kid.”

“I’m glad that people get to see how talented she is,” Eddie told reporters, per People. “We’ve known for years how talented she is. It’s exciting to see her stuff up on the walls… I’m having all of those proud parent feelings.”

He continued: “I really got lucky with my kids. There really isn’t a bad one in the bunch, everyone turned out to be really good people.”

The 61-year-old actor has 10 children, and Bria is his oldest daughter.
