While performing his concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, country star Thomas Rhett was alerted to a situation in the crowd. A fan was suffering a medical emergency, triggering immediate concern from Rhett and his team. In a video shared on social media, you can see Rhett talking with those around him, eager to learn the fan’s name.
More fan-captured videos showed Rhett bowing his head and hanging his legs off the edge of the stage as he prepared to lead the audience in prayer. The “Angels” singer began, “Father God, we just ask for healing over Terry. We know that You are the ultimate Physician. We know that You are the ultimate Healer. Pray for Terry’s family right now because they’re pretty scared for Terry, who’s very scared.”
Rhett continued, “God, we know You are a miracle worker. We just pray over Terry and his family right now. We ask that everybody in this room, after they leave tonight, will continue to pray for Terry and his family.” He concluded as fans began to cheer, “We love You, and we thank You for Jesus. We pray this in His name, Amen.”
After the situation unfolded and Terry was treated, Rhett continued his show. The country superstar garnered praise from fans who applauded him for handling the situation. One TikTok user wrote, “I was there last night, and the way he handled this brought me to tears. The Holy Spirit filled that arena entirely.” Another shared, “Thomas Rhett, I have so much respect for you not only as an artist but also as a human being.”

The day after the concert, Rhett took to social media to share a positive update about Terry. He wrote, “I’m thankful to report that Terry, who needed medical attention at last night’s show in Nashville, is home and doing well. He and his family appreciate all the prayers! Love y’all so much.” Thomas Rhett’s wildly successful Home Team Tour 23 recently came to a close, just one day after the release of 20 Number Ones, a retrospective vinyl compilation commemorating his 20 chart-topping hits achieved in just 10 years.
Rhett shared in a statement, “To say I feel blessed is an understatement. It’s been a trip down memory lane looking back on all the life and music I’ve had the chance to share with the fans over the last 10 years. It blows my mind reflecting on all the joy we’ve shared together and the support I’ve had from radio, partners and my team to help get my music out there. I’m so grateful for this journey and can’t wait for the next 10.”
The just-released collection also includes a brand-new track: “Mamaw’s House” with Morgan Wallen. Written by Thomas Rhett and Wallen with Matt Dragstrem and Chase McGill, the song finds the country stars paying tribute to their grandmothers. They were inspired to write the song after they realized they shared a similar experience growing up. Thomas Rhett’s next scheduled tour date is set for November 11-12 at the Country Bay Music Festival in Miami.
