Rapper Ice Spice has found herself in some hot water after she attended the Super Bowl with her friend, Taylor Swift. The rapper had quite a bit of screen time and many were quick to point out the necklace she was wearing at Sunday night’s game. Ice Spice, who’s real name is Isis Naija Gaston, was seen wearing an all-black outfit with a large necklace that many believe is an upside-down cross. Along with her “questionable” necklace, she was also seen making hand gestures, that many people believe to be “devil signs.”

According to sources close to TMZ, the necklace was designed by celebrity jeweler, Alex Moss. He claimed that the necklace was had no demonic ties behind it whatsoever. The pendant is made from black gold, a new material that has been developed, and baby pink sapphires all throughout it. According to TMZ’s sources, Ice Spice is the first star of her caliber to wear this type of piece. It was also revealed that she did not buy the piece herself, fellow rapper Playboi Carti actually gifted it to her recently. While Playboi Carti rapper can be known for his gothic style these days, sources assured the media outlet that there was nothing demonic behind the design of the piece, which was actually a collaboration effort between Alex and Playboi Carti.

While many fans believe that the conspiracy theory is outlandish, others disagree. One user wrote on X, previously known as Twitter, “Nothing to see here, just Taylor Swifts guest Ice Spice throwing up demonic signs while wearing a upside down cross making sure the world sees it on the big screen.” A different Twitter user defended the rapper by tweeting, “Ice Spice went to Catholic school and in an interview says she prays every day. I find it hard to believe she’s “demonic.” Then there’s St. Peter’s cross which is traditionally Christian. A lot of Christian’s are unaware of this cross because they don’t read Christian history.” What do you think?
