The Shack is based on the New York Times best-selling novel and is expected to take us on a mysterious ride on March 3rd. The film stars Tim McGraw (Willie), Octavia Spencer (Papa) and Sam (Mack Phillips) Worthington and explores a father’s uplifting spiritual journey after suffering a family hardship.

“I think maybe there’s something in it of those arguments that I’ve had with the world—I think maybe it was something about this man’s emotional journey, where I went, ‘Well, I’ve been a frustrated guy. I’ve built my own shack. I’ve got to learn to forgive.’ I don’t know—those kinds of things really echoed with me,” Worthington told Beliefnet.

After falling into a malaise, Mack starts questioning his beliefs. But one day he received a perplexing letter that prompted him to visit a shack located in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack traversed to the shack and encountered three strangers who will inspire him to move forward with his life and help him to sequentially forgive.
