Coachella Music and Arts Festival was in for a surprise when Justin Bieber decided to take stage and lead a few worship songs.
Justin Bieber, known for sharing his Christian faith with fans, made an appearance at a Churchome event at the festival where he led the attendees in worship. Bieber isn’t on the official line-up for the Coachella but one of Churchome’s leaders is Pastor Judah Smith, a friend and mentor of Bieber’s.
Several festival attendees posted videos of Bieber leading the Sunday morning worship, passionately singing songs and raising his hands in praise.
One of the songs Bieber sang was “Reckless Love” by Cory Asbury. Bieber previously had posted a video to Instagram of himself passionately singing this song while he’s sitting in a vehicle.
“God’s love is reckless, and he loves you mad tons,” he wrote in the caption.
Bieber began making public declarations for Jesus last year, and many questioned his intentions and doubted that his faith would survive the pressures of fame. However it has been quiet the opposite, and Bieber’s faith seems to be growing with each day.
He frequently uses his social media platforms as a way to share the Good Word with others. During Easter, Bieber shared a gospel presentation through Instagram. Last year, he preached about God’s goodness at a benefit concert for terror victims in the UK.
Reports are spreading that Bieber’s next album will include themes from his Christian faith.
