You may have learned about Harriet Tubman in school, but now get the chance to see her story come to life in a way that it’s never been told before.

Focus Features recently dropped the first trailer for the upcoming movie, which stars Cynthia Erivo stars as Tubman. It also features star appearances by Janelle Monáe and Leslie Odom Jr.

The film follows the heroic life of Tubman, who lead hundreds of slaves through the Underground Railroad. Tubman first fled by herself from a southern plantation that was over 100 miles north in order to find freedom. She quickly realized her calling was to help those she left behind.

“I will give every last drop of blood in my veins until this monster called slavery is dead,” Tubman says in the trailer.

“Harriet” is out in theaters November 1st.
