Is Facebook the new Match.com?
Two former high school friends, Jason Bussey and Heather Willis, reconnected on Facebook in March 2009 and became engaged five months later in August, when Jason proposed on top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The couple hadn’t seen or talked to each other for 17 years, after Jason moved to Florida from Georgia after freshman year.
When Jason found Heather on Facebook, they discovered they were both living in Atlanta and met up for the first time. Since then, they have “learned to wake board, attended football games, and even entered triathlons and marathons together.” (Facebook.com)
Before Heather met Jason, she didn’t believe in soulmates, but “Facebook has allowed us to find that one person in this world who truly complements the other.” (Facebook.com)
The couple got married last month in May.
