Victoria Principal, famous for her role as Pamela Barnes Ewing on CBS’ Dallas, is trying to help mop up the Gulf oil spill mess with a $200,000 donation–and put an end to off-shore drilling.
The Associated Press reported that the actress, who happened to star in the 2007 movie Earthquake, donated the funds to nonprofits Oceana and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to help toward work to heal the huge ecological catastrophe in the Gulf.
Pricipal, now a skin care magnate, is also a known philanthropist.
She was spokeswoman for Arthritis Foundation and now is co-chair of Victory Over Violence, a Los Angeles coalition of community leaders that raises awareness about domestic violence and provides resources for its victims.
Environmental causes are close to her heart, it was reported.
