There probably wasn’t a dry eye in the stadium that night.
During the Rams’ Veterans Day face-off against the Dolphins, one young fan experienced a Veterans Day he’ll never forget. U.S. Marine Corps Captain Justin Vega made a surprise return during halftime, creating an unforgettable moment at SoFi Stadium.
As Cpt. Vega emerged from the tunnel, his son Leo looked on in disbelief. Slowly approaching, Leo soon found himself wrapped in the arms of his father, a Marine Corps helicopter pilot, who lifted him up for a heartfelt embrace. Cpt. Vega had been on deployment and Leo had not seen his father in six months.
