I’m constantly amazed not only at the number of Jewish conspiracy theories, but also by the sheer audacity of them.
A new book by Dr. Alex Grobman, License to Murder: The Enduring Threat of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, is a terrific examination of this antisemitic forgery. The Protocols have been used as Exhibit A for Jewish conspiracy advocates for a century.
Yet the truth is completely the opposite.
A hallmark of propaganda against Jews and the Jewish state is the total inversion of truth. For example, we hear that Israel is the catalyst for unrest and violence in the Middle East. In other words, our problems are Israel’s fault.
Yet when the weapons shipment aboard the Karine A was discovered a few years ago, not only were huge caches of weapons found onboard, but also the passports of some Palestinian officials!
Did this outrage the world? Hardly. Yet it is one example that we should think long and hard about. If Israel’s alleged peace partners are arming to the teeth and telling their own people that peace initiatives are empty rhetoric (read: ready for war), shouldn’t we change our focus as to the real problems in the Middle East?
