It perhaps isn’t a surprise that Newsweek has gone all-digital. That means the magazine’s footprint is getting smaller. A recent cover shows how far removed the editorial board is from reality (although it fits their leftist worldview).
Barack Obama has been tagged as a (the?) messiah for some time. Yet when a cover story by Evan Thomas is titled “The Second Coming,” one wonders why the president does nothing to put out the flames of that kind of hero worship. Well, his fans would say, how can he control what magazine editors do? Well, fans, for one it’s obvious that the mainstream media has adored him for a long time because they share the same radical worldview.
The answer is, he likes it.
Narcissists love adulation, and it doesn’t bother them on those rare occasions when someone tries to put them on equal footing with the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only true Messiah.
Remember the epic words of Revelation 9:10—”And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
If the current US president believed that, don’t you think he’d issue a statement expressing at the very least his embarrassment over the messianic worship heaped on him by the mainstream media?
