The blog and book are by the "McKnight in shining blogger" (I know it doesn’t make sense but for some reason I still like it) and an album by some swinging Swedes.
Blog of the Week: Jesus Creed by Scot McKnight. There are times when somebody does something so naturally that it looks easy. Scot McKnight’s Jesus Creed is a blog to watch not only for its content but for how he demonstrates the way of Christ-followers when it comes to community.
Book of the Week: The aformentioned has written a number of books, all of which are worth reading. The one that has captured me as of late is his, "Praying with the Church: Following Jesus Daily, Hourly, Today." The disciples said, "Lord, teach US to pray," and Jesus responded with, "OUR Father." Prayer is a communal act of God’s people.
Album of the Week: EST: Seven Days of Falling is an album by the Esbjorn Svensson Trio (EST). They are a great example of what the jazz tradition looks and sounds like when translated by those on the other side of the Atlantic. It’s beautiful. This album, in addition to the CD also a DVD of some live performances–you will not be able to stop watching!
