What is jazz theology?
It is what happens to our faith when we discover that jazz is more than music. Once this is realized we begin to see jazz everywhere. It was the great novelist, Ralph Ellison, who said that "all of American life is jazz-shaped." Meaning that when we know what we are looking for we will see it in art, literature, poetry, sports and everyday conversation. I think that it's time we started experiencing it in our faith.
