The newspaper reports have it that the Cubs are working on a deal with Baltimore to bring Tejada to the Cubs. What we read in the paper is that the Cubs have talked about trading either Zambrano (a Knight-Ridder report) or Prior (everyone says this). Would you trade a starting pitcher for a SS?
My general way of looking at baseball is that there is a hierarchy:
1. Starting pitchers are more valuable than…
2. Hitters are more valuable than…
3. Fielders….
And I don’t know where you put in set-up pitching or closers, but they are up there in importance to me.
