Hello! Today is Sunday, Feb. 12. I spoke to Linda [Bob’s wife] this evening. Bob is still very critical. His oxygen levels seem to be improving, but there are other things they are measuring that are still higher than they’d like, including his blood pressure. There is a very slim chance, though, that they can wake him tomorrow and remove the ventilator. The ventilator needs to be removed and cannot be in indefinitely. If Bob still needs oxygen at that point and still needs to be under sedation, they will put in a trach tube. He will stay in ICU this whole week and through next weekend. Please pray that Linda is where she needs to be when she needs to be there and that she has discernment in talking to the children and comforting them.
It is getting more difficult for Linda and the kids, as you can imagine. Please pray that Linda has the right words and the right details to give them to help them have peace and to trust the Lord in this.
I will know in a few days whether they need any additional meals this week. Thank you for the provisions you are sending. It is getting more difficult for Linda and the kids, as you can imagine.
