PrayerCandle.jpgI want to mention this again because of what I’m hearing through the back window… more and more Christians are wanting a prayerbook.

Paraclete has produced a beautiful NIV Psalter called: The Paraclete Psalter: A 4-Week Cycle for Daily Prayer
. From what I can tell, this Psalter is quickly becoming a favorite for many Christians.
I have used for years The Book of Common Prayer
, and have an old copy with Coverdale’s translation. But we need an NIV Psalter, and now it’s available.
Paraclete designed this Psalter to be used either by individuals or by groups; it divides the psalms so they can be read in the course of month. Very little repetition and wise selection for each prayer time.
The Psalter uses four prayer moments during the course of a single day: Morning prayer (Lauds), Midday prayer, Vespers and Compline. One Appendix, providing the canticles of Luke (Benedictus, Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis). The user can add Gloria Patri, Jesus Creed, Lord’s Prayer or the Jesus Prayer whenever he or she wants.
Elegantly produced with a leather cover and fine paper with a nice font.
