I have a PowerBook G4 with a password problem. Every time I try to update the computer or, as I’m doing now, trying to use a new WD hard drive on which to back up everything, it asks for a password. Which I give it. Then it tells me my password is incorrect. So, though I’ve gone into the Help section and done what they ask — System Preferences and the like — I can’t seem to get anywhere until I figure out my password. I know it, except it doesn’t work.
