Kris and I have an Apple Air Port as our form of a wifi network at home, but we’re noticing these days that we often have to unplug the thing and then plug it back in to get it going again. It just seems to shut down.

What we are wondering is if our old Air Port — maybe 6 or so years old — is now in need of replacement with one of these new ones? [Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station] Could it be our Comcast service or modem? Not sure what the problem is, but the symptom is that the wifi signal blanks out and when I unplug the AirPort and then plug it back in the signal comes back.

Anyone out there think they can help us?
