Here’s a clip from Ben Armant’s The Elephant Room. I love Ben. He organizes some very interesting and helpful conferences. And The Elephant Room is definitely one of those ideas. ER is a conference of conversations, debates, and challenges among (between) six pastors–three cool evangelical pastors and three cruel cool Calvinist ones.

This clip features Matt Chandler, pastor of Village Church and cancer survivor, pitted against Steven Furtick, pastor of Elevation Church and heterosexual man.

The conversation here is good and interesting, but I’m most impressed with James Mac, the moderator. It’s not easy being the guy in between two people with strong personalities, are under God’s calling, and possess pastoral egos. But James does a nice job keeping the conversation moving without being an interruption to the debate.
