Sir Mitt’s problem is isn’t a lack of authenticity it is that he is passionately authentic about everything. I was just watching this clip below from a 1994 debate with Senator Kennedy during Romney’s first run for office. It is a little bit eerie not because his positions changed but because of how he makes the case – the words, the gestures, they are identical to how he makes them now. He looks freakily programmed.
